'The Craftsmanship Festival' commemorates the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit

BANGKOK, 7 August 2014 (NNT) -

The Department of Cultural Promotion has prepared ‘The Craftsmanship Festival’ in cooperation with National Council for Peace and Order and the Prime Minister’s Office in celebration of the day of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s 82nd birthday on 12 August.

Director General of Department of Cultural Promotion said the event will be held on 9 to 10 August at Amphorn Park and Dusit Palace Plaza from 1-7 P.M.

The cultural activities are divided into 3 parts: Her Majesty’s handworks and folk heritage development exhibition, local performances under the queen’s patronage, and folk performances to wish the Queen a happy birthday.

The event is comprised of the handworks demonstration, Thai dessert and food demonstration, and Thai dessert and food distribution.

The main performances will be held on 9 August at Amphorn Park, starting from 6 P.M.
