Prajin to seek Bt8bn more from Cabinet for red-line electric train

Transport Minister ACM Prajin Juntong said Monday that he will seek Bt8.1 billion more from the Cabinet for the construction cost of the red-line Bang Sue-Rangsit electric train.

The additional construction cost is required because the plan to modify the Bang Sue station as a junction that can accommodate the new standard 1.435-metre-wide railway tracks. He said he would seek the additional budget during the weekly Cabinet meeting next week.
